Who doesn’t think of James Bond when they hear the term “Goldfinger”? This Les Paul with the serial number 007 (which is pure coincidence, by the way!) could definitely be from the cult film from 1964.
In reality, the nickname “Goldfinger” comes from the distinctive finger-shaped paint damage caused by the playing style of the original owner, Charles Daughtry. With the Collectors Choice #36, the Gibson Custom Shop has once again created a unique replica. The guitar is light, resonant and loud. Powerful overtones and a good amount of sustain also characterise this instrument.
