Gibson Korina Flying-V 1958 Reissue Black Pickguard
SKU: 1209-1F15888The Flying-V was ahead of its time when it was launched in 1958. Only 81 guitars have been sold that year. Today, the Flying-V is an iconic electric guitar thanks to performances by Dave Davies, Billy Gibbons or Keith Richards.
Now it is finally available again: the Flying-V in 1958 guise with the body made of beautifully grained and extremely light Korina. The mahogany neck has an authentic ’58 profile. The pickups are the so-called “Custombucker”, which are built in the style of the 1958 PAF pickups.
The combination of the light Korina body, the chunky 58 neck profile and airy-sounding pickups ensures a uniquely rich, resonant tone with strongly pronounced mids. The crisp attack is accompanied by beautiful sustain.
The Flying-V 1958 Reissue comes in a stylish case and certificate of authenticity.
