Mick Ralphs really had a knack for guitars. Light mahogany body, medium chunky neck and a maple top, flamed like no other 58 Les Paul Standard.
The replicas of his Les Paul with the serial number 8 7049 (the prototype was inspected by Mick Ralphs himself) also have precisely these attributes.
The low output Custom Bucker pickups with Alnico III magnets were wound to the exact specifications of the original and sound incredibly glassy, transparent and rich in overtones. Even in the neck position, the attack remains and doesn’t muffle a bit.
